A bridge between us is an organization created by two people who have given their lives in the service of others. As a prior service member, and wife to one, they understand the meaning of family; and how we as injured veterans have to face being separated from our military brothers and sisters after our service ends. I have participated in many different organizations since my devastating injury over twenty years ago. Hunting has been a foundation in my life since i was young boy back in N.C. It provides peace, calm, self-reflection, and an opportunity to do what I’ve been doing my entire life even though my circumstances have changed. Nate and Lexi, along with the board of directors, give their focus to providing an experience tailored to the veteran that guarantees memories of a lifetime. They treat you like family that goes beyond just a one time hunting trip. I’m honored to know them and represent them as the Veteran of the Year in 2025.
